1804 half-cent found in a field in Newton MA. 30 years ago. Dark toned coin with uniquely fine good detail. Buried in the ground for approx. 170 years in non-acid soil. This coin looks great when olive oil is applied. Provides an exquisite sweat-skinned sheen. Unusual in that it has all three coin "oddities": a spiked chin - hard to see in photos but it's there, a cross-let 4 and stems to the wreath on the reverse.
