THE GOOD NEWS:
Nice Looking Better Date Coin, This is the harder to find 1804 with a Spiked Chin. Nice Even Dark Brown Color, Nice Eye Appeal. Nice LIBERTY, Clear Date & Nice Rims. Nice Reverse Details show. Has some dirt in the date and some other places.
Many old copper coins have so much porosity that the coin looks terrible. The surfaces are very nice on this coin, and early copper coins with nice surfaces are much harder to find. This makes this coin above average. Please bid with confidence because I stand behind what I sell.
If you see a shine on the coin, this is from reflections from the camera light. I have to let the light shine on the coin as much as possible to show the details. This makes the coin look shined up in that area, or sometimes it looks shined up all over.
THE BAD NEWS:
Not real bad, but has a few old scratches on the obverse. Sometimes things like this can be expected because these coins were used as real money long ago. Most coins have flaws, it's just a matter of what is acceptable for the grade. Remember the pictures are enlarged so it looks more extreme than in hand. Still a very pleasing coin.
