    Description

One (1) Sheet Aerospace High Temperature Silicone Rubber Fiberglass Reinforced Size .050”x9”x12”
You are purchasing One (1) Sheet of Aerospace Grade High Temperature Silicone Rubber Fiberglass Reinforced Sheet Size 0.050 inches Thick, 9” x 12”.  One picture shows 5 sheets together so you have a feel for the thickness compared to the length and width.
This sheet material was originally used as caul plate material in Aerospace Composites Manufacture where high temperature and pressure are used and excellent release properties are needed.  It is constructed with 3 plys of Style 1523 fiberglass fabric coated with a flame retardant red silicone rubber.  It is IDEAL for High Temperature applications.  It can be used for gaskets or seals requiring a resilient, non-porous high-temperature, flame-retardant silicone suitable for operating temperatures from -100 to 500°F. It resists deterioration due to weathering and will remain flexible over its temperature range.
Three (3) Style 1523 fiberglass fabric plys are centered between 4 layers of silicone that gives the material great dimensional stability and tensile strength.  I cut an edge of a small piece of the material on an angle to show the 3 plys of fiberglass and included a photograph for you to see.
While I cannot say this material is “Food Grade Silicone” I would not hesitate to use a sheet of this material to bake cookies in my oven.  No worries about fiberglass entering the food since both sides are coated in silicone.
    PLEASE NOTE:
I can ship several 9” x 12” sheets of this material in the same flat rate envelope to save on shipping.  You will NOT receive selvage in 9”x12” sheets.
