Burke James Rembrandt 5x7 Wet Plate Collodion Large Format w/ Gennert Lens Outfit
For your consideration: Heavy duty camera for wet plate photography. The Rembrandt camera has NEW bellows with 12" draw - they are light tight and will accommodate almost all photography needs. Camera shows wear, has some holes that had been drilled by previous owner in the wood for air release. I have filled the holes and stained to match the wood as close as possible. Overall, this is a sturdy camera that will last. The focus screen is a new replacement. Camera can be mounted on a tripod (Tripod not included).
The Gennert Eoscope Portrait lens shows wear on the brass, but has nice clean glass and has the original brass lens cap. The lens is a fast lens to help with shorter time exposures. Lens throws a nice clear image - see last picture.
The camera includes a NEW 5x7 wet plate holder made from cherry wood; a modified 5x7 holder that accepts 4x5 glass/metal plates; and a traditional 5x7 cut film holder. The NEW 5x7 wet plate holder is made from cherry wood and will hold 3mm glass or metal plate with a foam spacer (not included) to hold plate flush. The 5x7 holder is designed for those starting out in wet plate photography. The holder will last if cared for. For photographers needing a holder for heavy use, I would recommend plastic holders offered by other sellers.
The wet plate outfit consists of 1 5x7 tank w/ inner tank and dipper; 4x5/5x7 dry rack. The wet plate holder, processing tank, and dry rack are hand made in America - no two are alike.
All that is needed is the chemicals and plates (Not Included) to get started with wet plate photography.

Camera outfit will be shipped most economical way (USPS or Fedex) with Tracking, Insurance, and Signature Receipt. If shipping is less; difference will be refunded.
