Canon P 35mm Mechanical Rangefinder Camera - Heavily Customized - Film Tested!
Sample images are provided within the pictures. As you can see, the camera is working as intended!

This unique Canon P was heavily customized but its original owner in Japan before it came into my hands. A list of the customizations includes:
A custom black paint job with what seems to be a thick industrial paint.
Black Rubber wrap around the end of the film advance lever, which definitely improves the feel of it in use.
Protective black material on the upper corners to protect against strap lug wear and tear.
Black Wax inside the shutter button to protect from rain and dust (negates usage of a release cable).
Protective black material upon the cold shoe base to protect from wear and tear.
Removal of the paint within the vicinity of the Canon name branding to accentuate the wording.
Removal of the self timer lever mechanism with a little circle of leather to cover the spot. It is painted red with the working "P2" to indicate an improved Canon P and a red dot to poke fun at Leica! Ha!
The wonderful addition of a 1970s Canon SLR hand grip on the front left of the body for easier holding. I don't know what's holding it on, but it seems to be very firmly attached, and it works and feels great!
Cosmetic Condition
:
The camera received a custom black paint job from its previous owner that has begun to nicely wear over time.
There are no major dings, dents, or scratches.
Optical Condition (Finder)
:
No scratches, haze, fungus, fog or separation is present within the viewfinder.
There is some dust present.
The frame lines are bright and clear.
The rangefinder patch is bright and clear.
Mechanical Condition
:
The camera has been film tested and is in proper operating condition.
The rangefinder patch is accurate and focusing works as intended.
***The thin metal sheet shutter curtain is in a rare and impressive condition for a Canon P with no dents or crumples present.***
The self timer has been removed and covered with a cheeky "red dot" P2 symbol.
