Leica M6 .072 “Brass” Panda 35mm Rangefinder Film Camera Body Only. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Purchased from KEH less than a year ago. Have only put about 10 rolls through it since. KEH rated condition at Excellent at the time of purchase and condition has not changed. I still have original plastic packaging and box from them. Picked it up looking to get into the rangefinder system but find myself still gravitating towards SLRs.
Shutter is smooth, rangefinder patch bright and clear, meter fully operational and accurate, original “Made in Germany” leatherette still perfectly intact. Small amount of dust visible in exterior of viewfinder but not visible through viewfinder itself. Almost no wear on body itself.
Labeled a “Brass” Panda a couple of minor modifications have been added to give the classic Panda some black paint on brass accents. The film advance has been upgraded with that of the Leica MP/M3 black paint advance. You can see at tip of advance some of that brass patina is just starting to show. A soft shutter release and hot shoe cover from JPH is also added, both black paint on brass. Over time all of these accent pieces will patina and show off their brass undercoatings. I have retained the original black chrome shutter advance and will throw that in with body as well should you ever want to swap them back.
Camera comes with Leica body cap, and original black chrome advance lever.
