Description
My father, Donald E. Grove, was the inventor of the Tynar camera. I’ve attached photos of the original patent dated June 8, 1954. As a kid, I remember some of the promotional photos he took and they could be enlarged to about 10 x14 and still be considered good. Did you know that a Tynar was used in a Fred MacMurray film as a spy camera? (I wish I could remember which one). The parts are all there, including a small snippet of film in the film canister. The mechanism works, but is slow, so I suspect it needs a good cleaning by someone who understands the workings.
Otherwise the condition is very good, with just a scuffed corner. The viewfinder pieces don’t click into place….should they? No box, no instructions, just the complete camera.
