The Olympus 35 S-3.5 was introduced in 1955 as a high-end model of the Olympus 35.
It was the first Japanese lens shutter camera to feature a lever-type film winding mechanism, a self-cocking mechanism (where the shutter is charged at the same time as the film is wound up), and even an interlocking rangefinder.
This is a camera with a lot of innovative ideas.
The camera is equipped with an f/2.8 lens and the first 35mm lens shutter camera in Japan with an f/1.9 large aperture lens.
